Basketball: Thunder clip Becker 84-71, Wilson hits 35

Jake Wilson scored a career-high 35 points as the  Zimmerman Thunder reversed an earlier loss to Becker, beating the Bulldogs 84-71 at home on Friday evening.

Wilson, who had 31 when the Thunder lost to Becker in December, got 35 in the rematch, mostly on two-pointers as he sank only one 3-pointer. He came within two of Brandon Giese’s school record.

Tyler Lorden added 14 for Zimmerman (4-5 conference, 8-9 overall).

Becker is 2-6 and 2-14, including a 76-63 win over the Thunder on Dec. 21.

Next for Zimmerman is Albany there Tuesday.
