Basketball: Shakopee snaps Rogers girls’ win streak 50-32
The Shakopee Sabres dominated the second half and snapped a four-game win streak by the Rogers Royals 50-32 on Tuesday evening in Rogers.
“Our second half was brutal,” assessed Rogers coach Karlee Anderson. “We had no intensity, no fire, no communications. We had a nice first half.”
Rogers led 18-16 at the break but it was all Shakopee after that. Both teams are now 12-7.
Hannah Zerr netted 17 points, Taylor Koenen 15 and Haley Zerr 10 for the Sabres, who made 12 of 16 free shots.
Rogers never got untracked, with Lindsey Dorr scoring 9 points and Megan Dobberstein 8 to lead them.
The Royals will host Monticello on Thursday.
