Elk River  hosted musicians from 50 schools Saturday for the second annual Central Minnesota Band Directors Association Honor Band Festival. Host John Rosner said the purpose is to promote high level  musicianship  and “reward leaders of their bands with exposure to an ensemble full of students just like them.” Guest conductors Bill Webb, St. Olaf, worked with grades 6-7-8  and Dr. Peter Haberman, Concordia-Moorhead, with grades 9-10, and led their groups in a concert to close the day.
