The Rogers Royals missed a bundle of layups but still posted a 53-38 win over Big Lake at home Tuesday evening.

Lindsey Dorr led with 16 points and six rebounds. Taylor Anderson chipped in 11 points, Taylor Paulsrud nine and Kelsey Frain eight.

“We missed about 15 points worth of layups,” said coach Karlee Anderson. “It was an ugly win, but we’ll take it. We have to build on this as we go to Buffalo on Friday.”

Hard-driving guard Bridgette Audette scored 21 point for the Hornets and post Emily Gruber added 11.

Each team made four 3-points. Free shots were not a big factor either as Rogers was 7-for-12 and Big Lake 11-for-18.

The Royals will play at Buffalo on Friday.
