Basketball: Royal girls cruise at Brainerd 66-34
The Rogers girls beat Brainerd, a section rival, 66-34 on Saturday on the Warriors court.
“We were able to play everybody, and we were able to work on a new defense, too,” said Rogers coach Karlee Anderson. About Brainerd, she said, “We were too big for them.”
Rogers is 10-6 overall and 3-3 against section teams. Brainerd 2-12.
Lindsey Dorr scored 14 points, Taylor Anderson 12 and Marina Nowak 8 to lead Rogers.
The Royals will host Big Lake on Tuesday.
