Basketball: Rogers girls hold off Bluejackets 61-52

Taylor Anderson and Lindsey Dorr each tallied 18 points as the Rogers Royals picked up their first conference win 61-52 over Cambridge-Isanti on Tuesday evening in Cambridge.

Dorr, 6-foot-1 junior post, snagged 10 rebounds, blocked several shots, and made 6-of-6 free shots.

Anderson, sophomore guard, made four assists and was 6-for-7 at the line.

Taylor Paulsrud added 11 points, seven of them in the last minute of the first half as Rogers took a 26-22 halftime lead.

The Royals (1-1 conference, 9-6 overall) cashed 18 of 26 free shots and were 3-for-5 on 3-pointers.

Lily Porta netted 14 points, Brynn Liljander 13, and Justine Larson nine for Cambridge-Isanti (1-1 conference, 8-5 overall). The Bluejackets were 17-for-29 on free shots.

Rogers will play at Brainerd on Saturday, 3 p.m.
