Hockey: Elk girls coast 9-0 against North Metro

SevenĀ  players scored for Elk River in a 9-0 victory North Metro Stars at home on Friday evening.

Breanna Simon and Kaylee Forster scored two goals each and Sophia Schutt, Alison Boser, Mandy Sailor, Jenna Gerber, and Haley Williams notched one each.

Forster and Chelsey Petrich each made two assists.

The Elks had 51 shots to NM’s 10 with Kim Scott in goal for the shutout.

The Elks, bouncing back from a 9-1 loss to Blaine with a rout of their own, are 4-7-2 in conference and 6-10-3 overall. North Metro isĀ  1-12 in conference and 5-14-1 overall.

The Elks will skate at home again Saturday evening, hosting Grand Rapids-Greenway.
