Basketball: Maple Grove stymies Elk boys 63-48

Maple Grove put the clamps on Elk River and handed the Elks a 63-48 loss on Thursday evening in Maple Grove.

Bryan Edwards logged 18 points and 9 rebounds for the Elks, now 5-2 in the NWSC and 8-2 overall. Porter Morrell scored 11 points and Clay Elrod 7.

Maple Grove improved to 5-2 in conference and 7-4 overall.

The Elks will  host Monticello on Saturday, 3 p.m.
