Hockey: Royal boys start fast, beat St. Francis 7-1

A three-goal burst in the first four minutes launched the Rogers Royals on a 7-1 win over St. Francis at home Tuesday evening.

Branden Cecil had the hat trick for Rogers (5-7-1) while Alexander Lorman, Travis Brown, Andrew Puertz, and Blake Miller scored a goal each. Brandon Spah assisted on three goals and Spencer Marchand on two.

Brown’s power play goal 1:07 into the game was followed by Cecil scoring at 3:26 and Miller at 3:49.

Brett Aldrich had the goal for St. Francis (8-6).

Rogers will host Buffalo in a doubleheader Thursday with the girls playing at 6 p.m. and the boys at 8 p.m.
