Five Zimmerman players scored in double digits as the Thunder outlasted the Princeton Tigers 86-83 at home on Tuesday evening.
Noah Lunning and Jake Wilson each sank 19 points, Max McNulty 16, Tyler Theisen 12 and Kristian Bright 10. Ethan Luing added eight and Travis Carr two. Wilson led with 12 rebounds.
The Thunder led 43-36 at the half and stayed in front, hitting 8 of 9 free shots in the last two minutes.
The Thunder shot 57 percent at 33-for-58, with Theisen 5-for-6, Bright 5-for-7, Lunning 7-for-10 and Wilson 8-for-18. They added 18 free shots in 26 attempts.
Travis Chmielewski poured in 27 points for Princeton, shooting 10-for-12. Matt Wendorff score 19, Jack Sinkel 16, and Thomas Klaphake 13.
The Thunder (1-2 conference, 4-6 overall) picked up their first Granite Ridge win. Princeton fell to 1-2 and 2-7.
Zimmerman will host Milaca on Thursday.
