Hockey: Rogers girls take 51 shots, nip Hutchinson 3-2
Emily Antony scored twice as Rogers emerged with a 3-2 win over Hutchinson in a frustrating game Thursday evening at Hutchinson.
The Royals had a 51-10 edge in shots. The Tiger goalie making 48 saves was Quin McCormick.
Antony scored in the first and third periods, and Kaitlyn Braeidy had a shorthanded goal in the second period.
Antony’s second goal gave Rogers a 3-1 lead with 4:52 left. Hutchinson’s Ellie Larson scored just 10 seconds later to make it a one-goal game for the last 4:42.
The Royals are 5-9-3 with two non-conference wins over the Tigers (1-11-1). The score was 4-0 at Rogers on Dec. 20.
Rogers will host Sartell-Sauk Rapids on Saturday at 3 p.m.
