Michels, Sandberg are Zimmerman’s Triple-A nominees
Sylvia Michels and Dylan Sandberg are Zimmerman’s nominees for the Minnesota State High School League’s Triple-A awards.
The MSHSL chooses section and state recipients in Class A and AA for this award, which recognizes seniors for excellence in academics, athletics and arts.
Michels has a 3.75 GPA, competes in track and speech, appears in all the school plays and sings in the choir.
She recently got an “outstanding” rating from the Spotlight organization for her performance in the fall musical “Hello, Dolly” as Minnie.
She’s also in the National Honor Society and Link.
Sandberg has a 3.99 GPA, plays trombone in the concert band and pep band, and serves as the track team’s manager.
Sandberg and Michels are each active in the county sheriff’s TIES, a peers program that deals with traffic safety and truancy.
