Basketball: Tech nips Rogers girls 40-38

The Rogers Royals lost to St. Cloud Tech 40-38 on Thursday evening in St. Cloud.

Kaila Burroughs scored 20 points for the Tigers (4-4) in the defensive struggle.

Rogers (5-3) had the ball for the last 20 seconds but Tech fended them off. Taylor Anderson scored 7 points, and Kirsten Heikkinen and Taylor Paulsrud 6 each, for Rogers.

The Royals will play at Elk River on Saturday at 3 p.m.
