Hockey: Royal balls fall to No. 3 ranked Totino-Grace 9-3

The Rogers Royals took a drubbing from a highly-ranked opponent for the second straight game, losing to Totino-Grace 9-3 at Parade Ice Gardens in Minneapolis on Tuesday evening.

Carter Roo knocked in three goals, one of them on a power play, and Derek Lodemeier scored twice on power plays, for the Eagles (4-1-1), ranked No. 3 in Class 3A.

Rogers (2-3-1) lost their previous game 7-2 to No. 4 ranked Breck.

Spencer Marchand, Connor Tokheim, and Branden Cecil had the goals for Rogers. In the net, Blake Termus gave up 9 goals in 51 shots. Brock Maxwell finished, stopping 6 shots.

Rogers will play at Little Falls on Thursday.
