Hockey: Elk girls lose to Tornadoes 3-0

The Elk River girls lost to Anoka 3-0 there on Tuesday evening as Emillie Brigham scored twice in the last period — both shorthanded and on the power play — to break the game open. Blair Parent scored in the second period for the Tornadoes (5-4-1 conference, 6-5-1 overall). Jessica Edwards in goal stopped 33 of 36 for the Elks (2-6-2, 2-7-3). Anoka’s Molly Scarborough made 21 saves for the shutout. The Elks will host North Wright County on Thursday.
