Hockey: Elk girls clip North Metro 4-0

Elk River picked up its second conference win, 4-0 over North Metro, on Saturday at Osseo.

Kaylee Forster and Breanna Simon scored on the power play and Jenna Gerber and Abby Canton scored even-strength for the Elks, now 2-5-2 in the NWSC and 2-6-3 overall.

Chelsey Petrich and Simon made two assists each and Kim Scott made nine saves.

The Elks peppered North Metro (1-8 conference, 3-10 overall) with 59 shots. Their goalie Lauren Torborg was credited with 55 saves.

The Elks will play at Anoka on Tuesday.
