The Zimmerman Thunder lost to Grand Rapids 73-55 on Saturday in Grand Rapids.

Grand Rapids center Alex Illikainen scored 28 points with Gopher coach Tubby Smith in attendance to watch him.

No. 10 ranked Grand Rapids improved to 4-2.

Brandon Sevre scored 11 and Jake Wilson 10 for the Thunder (2-2), who shot 20-for-57 (35 percent) on field goals and 11-for-20 on free shots. Noah Lunning had 9 points, and Kristian Bright 8 points and 7 rebounds.

The Thunder will play at Becker on Friday.
