Lindsey Dorr led Rogers with 17 points. Taylor Paulsrud added 13 points, Taylor Anderson 12, Courtney McClay 10 and Kelsey Frain seven. McClay led with 10 rebounds.

Anderson was 4-for-4, Paulsrud 4-for-5, McClay 6-for-8 and Dorr 5-for-7 on free shots.

Rogers built a 48-30 lead, saw it dwindle to six points with some ball handling issues, then regained control at the end.

“We held on,” said coach Karlee Anderson. “We want to score, score, score, and push the ball, and sometimes we have to be more patient.”

For Moorhead (2-5), Hailey Wixo sank 13 points and Melissa Groth 11. The Spuds made five 3-pointers, and 11-of-15 free shots.

“Moorhead has a lot of outside shooters that we had to identify,” said Anderson. “We did that for a while and then got lax.”

Rogers will play at St. Cloud Tech on Tuesday.
