Hockey: Royal girls deadlock with Mound-Westonka 2-2

The struggling Rogers Royal girls hockey team had a season highlight Thursday battlng a good Mound-Westonka team to a 2-2 tie at home. Makenzie Perna and Emily Antony scored for the Royals (1-7-2) and Michelle Klimstra stopped 37 of 39 shots. Mound-Westonka (7-2-1) salvaged a tie when Samantha Burris scored with 41 seconds left. Joni Mazurek had their first goal. The Royals will host International Falls on Saturday, 7 p.m.
