Dunn Bros in Zimmerman rolls out new food menu

Tasty provisions have come to Zimmerman.

Dunn Bros Coffee of Zimmerman launched a long-awaited Provisions Bakery Café last month. The full café menu includes sandwiches, pizzas and salads. They are only the 10th Dunn Bros in the nation to offer fresh food along with their beverages. Owners Matt and Tara Kuker say that after five years of faithfully brewing up coffee in Zimmerman, they were ready to seize this realization of their enduring dream for Zimmerman.

“There are a lot of fast-food chain options in Zimmerman,” Tara explains, “but no fresh food options and we’ve always wanted to provide variety to the day and night community around us.” Their patience paid off and they seized the opportunity when it came knocking.

“We’ve waited so long for Dunn Bros to come out with a food menu,” Matt says, “and I couldn’t be more pleased with the Provision Bakery Café they launched in October.”

Starting early, it offers fresh baked bread and biscuit sandwiches stuffed with egg soufflé with a choice of sausage, maple syrup turkey bacon, Boar’s Head Black Forest ham and melted cheddar cheese.

Featured for the day menu are nine gourmet sandwiches made with Boar’s Head deli meats, cheeses, handcrafted sauces and oven-roasted fresh vegetables. “All Boar’s Head meats are gluten-free,” Tara noted, “and contain no additives or preservatives.”

Sandwiches come with kettle chips and horseradish pickles. Half and whole sandwiches are offered. The bread and pastries are baked fresh daily and the salads and sandwiches are handcrafted before your eyes from fresh-sourced ingredients. Four primary salads grace the menu and seasonal soups are always stewing in the back.

They also offer five Sicilian-style pizzas including harvest vegetable and chicken pesto. Dunn Bros also has a take-out menu.

The Kukers say they have a lot of flexibility with the menu ingredients they have. “We hope to be able to keep expanding items on the menu,” Tara says, “adapting to the local tastes of our community with different salad options, fruit cups, etc.”

The Kukers say they’re excited to see what Zimmerman thinks of the option. Community is a core concept behind the Dunn Bros Coffee brand, they say, and the bakery is a great step towards community growth. “We’d really like to nurture an afternoon lunch crowd in the area,” Tara said, “and boost our evening attendance to draw people together to eat, drink and hang out in a comfortable environment with great community options.”
