Community Thanksgiving Dinner table set
The sixth annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22 at Central Lutheran Church in Elk River.
Community volunteers will serve a traditional dinner of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, cranberries and many desserts. All are welcome to come and eat or pick up a meal to go.
“This has become quite a ‘tradition’ in the community,” said Kristen Norby, one of the event organizers. “We have people inquiring and asking about the dinner a lot. We feel that many in the community rely on the dinner now and so we want to keep it going as long as possible.”
