Elk River assault suspect crashes in Wright County
Elk River Police were called to the 500 block of Irving Ave. at 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 10 for a domestic assault.
The victim was a 22-year-old Elk River woman. She reported that a person that she previously had a relationship with had choked her, according to Elk River Police Capt. Bob Kluntz. 
The suspect, a 29-year-old Albertville man, fled the scene before police arrived.
Kluntz said police were later told by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office that the suspect had been involved in a motor vehicle crash in their jurisdiction and had been transported to a hospital.
