Students tap their iPad vote

Student election judge Jayleigh Mateuszczyk held an iPad for voter Jeremy Giron during mock elections at Rogers Elementary School. Students received “I Will Vote” stickers, despite the fact some students were ready to have their vote count now.

Rogers Elementary School teacher Corrine Flatgard reported teachers talked about the different branches and levels of government and what it means to be a citizen prior to the voting.  She noted some of her students said they thought that how their class voted would determine the result, so she had to remind them that you have to be 18 to have your vote count for real.
