Supporting Larry Farber

My name is Bidal Duran Jr. I am writing this letter in support of re-electing Larry Farber. I have known Larry Farber for eight years now through his son Jake. I met Larry when he was a police officer for Fridley Police Department, before he retired. I have always wanted to become a police officer and attended Bemidji State University for criminal justice. When I had lost my focus on school and career, Larry was there for advice on what I should do to better myself. About five years ago I asked Larry for the most important advice in my life because I knew I wasn’t ready for school or a career in law enforcement. I asked him “How can I improve myself?” He suggested joining the military for a change. After taking the advice from a man I respect and trust, I soon found myself in the United States Marine Corps. I had done two deployments, one non-combative and one combat to Sangin, Afghanistan with 3rd Battalion 5th Marines before being honorably discharged in September 2011. It was after my time of service that I realized how much support, dedication and time that Larry had bestowed upon me. Still to this day Larry has never given up on me and has helped me as a person and in my path to becoming a police officer. Larry Farber is and will always be dedicated to helping others. Larry Farber is trustworthy, honest, and dedicated making him the perfect candidate for the job of Sherburne County commissioner. As a veteran and a civilian, I support Larry Farber for Sherburne County commissioner. — Bidal Duran Jr, Bemidji
