Solution to school’s woes is to cut teacher salaries
The solution to 728 budget woes is crystal clear: bring teachers’ wages down to a level reflecting the failing economy, an economy the rest of us are forced to deal with whether we like it or not.
On election day 2012, vote NO and NO to both 728 proposals; it’s time for the gravy train to come into the station, for “the sacred cow teachers union” to step down from its perch in the ivory tower, to come down to earth where the rest of us live, in a system that provides no unconditional traditional protections. The scare tactic of “withholding educational service” unless they get their way, is an insult! They’ve used that ploy over and over again … it’s time to call their bluff, to put an end to tradition. — Mat Eicher, Elk River
