Elk River Police look for armed robber who stole from BP station

Elk River Police are looking for white male, who was wearing a ski mask, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans and gray tennis shoes during an alleged armed robbery on Tuesday night in Elk River.

Police are looking for a man who robbed the BP gas station in Elk River.

Police were called to the BP gas station at   19696 Evans St.  about 8:12 p.m. on Oct. 29 on a report of an armed robbery at the store.

A 22-year-old Zimmerman woman was working at the store when the suspect reportedly came into the store and displayed a handgun, according to Elk River Police Capt. Bob Kluntz.  The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, Kluntz stated.

No vehicle description was provided.

Police are investigating and are asking for assistance from the public.  Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery is asked to call police.

Incidentally, a 13-year-old juvenile male from Elk River was stopped near the scene of the robbery several minutes after the robbery call, but it was determined that he was not involved.
