Reed Parent of Rogers has qualified for the state cross country meet for the second time.
Parent, a junior, placed fourth in Section 5AA at Anoka on Thursday with a time of 16:20.
He will run at the state meet next Saturday at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
Rogers placed eighth among 15 teams with Carl Parent 33rd, Karl Gorecki 42nd, Caleb Burke 47th and Collin Young 63rd.
Centennial and Mounds View placed one-two, both qualifying for the state meet. The individual champion was St. Michael-Albertville senior Brendan Sage with 15:48.
The Rogers girls placed 11th among 15 teams. Jackie Lindfors placed 30th, Madie Mikolich 49th, Kelsie Cox 61st, Morgan Riley 81st, and Anita Nelde 85th.
Totino-Grace and Mounds View finished one-two and qualified for state. The individual winner was Mounds View junior Carly Bandt with a time of 14:31.
