A Salt Lake City, Utah, man sunk a hole in one Sunday, Oct. 21, at Pinewood Golf Course in Elk River.

Tracy Burton was in Elk River visiting family. He was golfing with his brother, Geoffrey Burton, and nephew, Matt Burton, when he got the hole in one – his first.

“It bounced twice, hit the stick about four inches up and dropped in,” said Burton. “I went, ‘Wow. That went in.’”

He was on hole No. 8 using a seven iron.

A Minnesota native, Burton is a graduate of Armstrong High School and Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter.

His hole-in-one brings the total to seven for the year at Pinewood, a city-owned golf course located at 18150 Waco St.
