Volleyball: Sting beat Calvin, have won 3 in row

The Spectrum Sting beat Calvin Christian 25-11, 25-9, , 25-18 at home Thursday evening, their third straight victory.

Eighth-grader Jasmine Nelson led  with 9 kills and served 4 aces, while sophomore Rachel Weiss served 9 aces.

The Sting squared their record at 6-6. Next match will be Monday at Cambridge Christian.

Close win over Highlanders

The Sting won a cliffhanger at  home Tuesday over the Columbia Heights Highlanders 28-26, 25-20, 15-25, 20-25, 16-14. Meghan Hays aced 8 serves and Maddie Hayes had 6 aces. Sophie Herrlin made 7 kills and Meghan Hays 3. Sadie Her made 13 digs and Ellie Rogers and Andrea Boe 5 each. Maddie Hays made 5 assist.
