I am supporting candidates Don Hall and Darren Jakel who I believe are the perfect fit for the Rogers City Council.
Don is a local business owner and former Hassan resident who was recently named to fill an open term on the council based on his experience and willingness to serve our community. As a long-time member and past president of the Rogers Lions, he has been involved in many community-based projects, giving him a unique perspective of our growing community. Don’s business experience will be invaluable as the council analyzes the combined Rogers/Hassan community and tackles the tough economic/budget issues going into the new year.
Darren Jakel is a long-time Rogers resident and past Rogers City Council member who currently serves on the Rogers Park Board. His experience also includes service on the Rogers Economic Development Authority, Rogers Police Advisory Board and Rogers Planning Commission. Darren will bring a wealth of experience and passion to the Rogers City Council, as he has been a big part of overseeing the city of Rogers’ growth from a small town to a sprawling city over the past several years.
I have been impressed by Don and Darren’s no-nonsense, logical approach to whatever problem or challenge they are confronted with and I believe that their personalities will work well with the mayor and other council members. They will help foster intelligent decision-making and facilitate timely actions to allow responsible growth and development for our community. Over these past many years, there have been many differing opinions of whether Hassan and Rogers should become one community. Voting for Don Hall and Darren Jakel will assure us that all voices will be heard and with their practical common sense approach, our new combined community will thrive! — Mike Pinter, Rogers
