Updated: Trapped motorist released from hospital

A 20-year-old Zimmerman man is recovering from a motor vehicle accident last Friday in which he collided with a semi at the intersection of County Road 4 and 112th Street in Livonia Township.

The Zimmerman/Livonia fire district responded to a semi vs car accident at the intersection of County Road 4 and 112th St. in Livonia Township on at about 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 5.

The Zimmerman/Livonia Fire District and Sherburne County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene at 9:26 a.m. on Oct. 5. Emergency personnel arrived to find Zachary Pumarlo trapped in his vehicle.

Firefighters extricated Pumarl and he was then airlifted to North Memorial in Robbinsdale. A hospital spokesperson said Pumarlo was discharged from North Memorial on Saturday, Oct. 6.

The driver of the semi was Robert Henry, a 55-year-old Ramsey man.

The accident remains under investigation.
