Elk River High School Homecoming 2012 Game Faces

by Jim Boyle

Elk River High School’s homecoming was capped off by a tough loss to a top-ranked opponent, but it wasn’t for a lack of a game face throughout the week.

Elk River youth football players showed their game faces at the parade down School Street.

Whether it was at one of the dress-up days during the festive week, at a raucous pep fest and crowning or the parade along School Street this past Friday night, Elks — of all ages — had their game faces on.

Take a look at some of them in pictures by Elk River High School photographers and Star News photographers Bruce Strand and Jim Boyle in the slideshow above.

Avery Person, Lindy Chuba and Lindsay Olsen of the Elk River Dance Team got into the act during the pep fest and at halftime of the Elks homecoming football game.

Garrett James, Andrew Debes, Jacqui Studniski, Katie VanCamp, Taylor Gale, Ivana Arrington and Megan Perry bang on some cans to the delight of the crowd.

Queen candidate Avery Person didn’t quite have her game face on but the ape she was with made up for it.
