Sandy was born November 22, 1948 in Pierre, South Dakota. She grew up on a ranch outside of Fort Pierre, SD, then moved to Wagner, SD where she graduated from high school and attended Springfield College. She married Ronald Blaha on July 5, 1969 and lived most of her life in Nowthen where they owned a machine shop. Sandy enjoyed her family, particularly cheering on her grandchildren at their activities.
Survived by: her beloved husband Ronald Blaha, daughter Julie Blaha (Roger Landon); brother Michael Nash, son-in-law Jay Hong (Sue Anderson); grandchildren Travis Hong, Jaimie Catherine Hong, Ashley Anderson, Jamie Sue Anderson, Jesse Landon (Nicole), Brian Landon (Jaclyn); and great grandson Devin Landon.
Preceded in death by: parents Kenneth and Shirley Nash of Wagner, SD; daughter Catherine Hong; and sister Kitty Anderson.
Mass of Christian Burial 12 noon, Thursday, September 27, 2012 at SAINT ANDREW CATHOLIC CHURCH, 566 4th St. NW, Elk River MN, 55330. Interment Church cemetery. Visitation at the church beginning at 11 am Thursday prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor’s choice. Special thanks to the nurses of 2nd Floor West at Mercy Hospital. Arr.
