Midwest Landscapes chosen for city work

Midwest Landscapes in Otsego has been chosen to do landscaping work at the Highway 169-Main Street intersection and in the Orono Parkway median in Elk River.

The city requested quotes from six companies and two complete quotes were received for each project. Midwest Landscapes was the lowest on both.

The Highway 169-Main Street intersection landscaping will cost $19,737. Plantings will include sedum and dogwood at all four corners as well as turf grass on the northern two corners and concrete on the southern two.

Planting trees in the Orono Parkway median will cost $10,732. No decision has been made at this time regarding the prairie in the Orono median.

Work on both projects is expected to be finished this fall.
