Logan Daulton and Emily Lewis booted two goals each, leading Elk River in a 6-0 rout of a depleted St. Cloud Tech team at home on Saturday.
The Elks took a 5-0 lead in the first half with a stiff wind at their backs as they improved to 5-5-2 for the season, including 3-1-1 against section rivals.
Tech, missing four starters with injury, fell to 1-8-2.
Daulton assisted on two goals besides scoring her ninth and 10th of the year on a through ball (assisted by Hana Boudlali) and on a breakaway (assisted by Jenna Kivley).
Abby McDonald and Rachel Mynahan scored the other goals. Mynahan’s first of the year was ripped from 25 yards into the upper corner. Monet Cairns assisted on a Lewis goal. Brienne Dehkes and backup Megham Marsh shared goalkeeper duties.
The Elks will host Centennial on Thursday.
