Golf: Jenson keeps ERGC women’s title; Christensen wins seniors

Gloria Jenson of Zimmerman repeated as Elk River Golf Club women’s champion, shooting two straight 85′s for a 170 Saturday and Sunday.
Greta Ege was runner-up among five championship flight entrants with 92-91-183.
Jenson characterized her play as “consistent, nothing spectacular,” similar to last year when she shot two 84′s.
“We had a good time. It was a fun group to play with,” she added.
The race for second was close as Bailey Conrath and Brenda Walz each shot 184 and Kerry Lamp 186.

Patty Christensen picked up the seniors crown, shooting 88-84-172. Sandy Grupa was low net winner with 148 (184 gross).
