Otsego Cub Scouts being sought

Parents of young boys face a lot of choices in after-school activities. Boys want to have fun, while parents want them to learn positive values and skills that will last a lifetime. If your boy is in first through fifth grade, Cub Scouting may be exactly what you are both looking for.

Generations of American men have participated in and benefited from Cub Scouting. As a parent, you can be assured that Cub Scouting:

•Involves a variety of family activities

•Encourages good behavior

•Teaches lifelong values

•Strengthens the bond of families

Cub Scout sign-up nights are happening throughout the Elk River area right now. Pack 90 will host a sign-up night at Otsego Elementary at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 in the cafeteria at Otsego Elementary School. For more information, contact Brad LeBlanc at 612-803-8271.

Meanwhile, Elk River Scouts had a successful round-up with more than 50 families signing up for Scouting programs that meet at elementary schools in Elk River.

Elk River Boy Scouts helped run activities for the potential recruits while their parents met with Scout leaders.
