An Elk River officer stopped a vehicle shortly after noon on Sept. 9 for going through red lights at Highway 10 and Proctor Avenue and Highway 10 and Upland Avenue.
The officer discovered that the driver, a 52-year-old Frazee woman, was transporting an injured rugby player to the hospital.
The Elk River officer summoned an ambulance, and the player was transported by Elk River Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
