Tennis: Elks win at Duluth East 6-1, other matches rained out

The Elk River tennis team made the long trip to Duluth for a three-match tournament and wound up playing only once on Saturday, beating Duluth East 6-1. Two other matches were rained out.

While the Elks were disappointed to miss out on the other two matches, coach Leroyce Chapman said the trip was “good for team bonding.”

The Elks (6-1) will resume conference play at Champlin Park on Tuesday.
