Volleyball: Sting beat FAIR 3-0 in first home match in new gym

Spectrum’s volleyball team beat FAIR School, a Minneapolis charter school, 25-19, 25-15, 25-7 in its first-ever home game on Tuesday.

(The school’s new gymnasium was completed after the 2011 season, when they were a paired team with PACT Charter.)

The Sting got 17 aces from five servers: Rachel Neiss, Ellie Rogers, Sadie Ehr, Molly Mitchell and Meghan Hays. Jasmine Nelson led the attack with four kills.

The Sting (1-1) will host Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted next Monday.
