A photograph by Allyssa Kaiser of Zimmerman was selected by USA Today for its College Guide Magazine, coming out Sept. 10.

Allyssa Kaiser of Zimmerman attends Syracuse University. She finished high school at the Perpich Center for Arts.

Kaiser, 21, a senior-to-be at Syracuse University in New York, answered a call for “best college campus photos” by the national newspaper for use in its annual tribute to some of the top universities in the country.

Kaiser submitted a landscape shot of the Newhouse III building at Syracuse, using a Nikon D60 SLR camera. The photo is notable for its “vibrant blues and greens,” she noted, adding that it can’t be released to other publications.

“It’s always been one of my favorite photographs, highlighting the prestige of the Newhouse School, a top communications college,” said Kaiser.

(The Star News requested that she provide these other photos as examples.)

Kaiser has a double major of advertising and international relations.

She attended Zimmerman schools through 10th grade, then finished at Perpich Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley.

“That’s where I developed my passion for photography,” said Kaiser,  adding that her work has appeared in film and photography festivals around the world.
