Sell Out Stereo, a high-energy band that endeavors to duplicate hit songs, will be the last installment of the 2012 Riverfront Concert Series.
The Minneapolis group will perform next Thursday, 7 p.m., at the riverfront stage downtown.
“The goal for S.O.S. is … to bring the hits to the masses and perform them as well as or better than the original artists,” stated The Music Works, an entertainment website. “They meticulously dissect each song, learning each part to the exact note and drum fill. They sample every loop and minuscule piece … ”
Among the hits on the S.O.S. song list on their website, are “Moves Like Jagger” (Maroon 5), “Billie Jean” (Michael Jackson), “Livin’ on a Prayer” (Bon Jovi), “Let’s Go Crazy” (Prince) and “Free Fallin” (Tom Petty).
