Baseball: Lorden, Pipenhagen were Pioneers leaders

Mike Lorden was the top hitter on the Elk River Pioneers with a .406 average, while six other teammates batted ..300 or better.

Aaron Pipenhagen led the pitching staff with a 5-1 record, 4.18 ERA and 56 innings pitched.

Other offensive leaders were Lorden  with 15 runs, Cory Kaminski with 14 RBI, and Harley Thompson with all three of the team’s homers. The Pioneers  finished 10-15.
