Soccer: Royal boys fall to Park Center 5-1 in opener

The Rogers boys had a humbling soccer opener, losing to Park Center 5-1 on Thursday in Brooklyn Park.

“Park Center is a real good team, maybe the best we’ll face all year,” said Chris Miller, Rogers coach. “They had some incredible passing.

“We’ve got a lot of young kids (playing). It wasn’t the best opener. But I think this team has good potential.”

Isaac Aanerud had the lone goal for Rogers.

The Royals will be back in action Saturday at home against Champlin Park, 11 a.m.
