Sirens will be tested in county Aug. 29

Sherburne County has recently completed upgrades to the outdoor warning sirens in accordance with new federal regulations, according to Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott.

The outdoor warning sirens have been working properly and there are no concerns about their functionality, he said. However, because of the new federal regulations, the outdoor warning sirens will be tested throughout the county at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29.

If there is a threat of severe weather that day, the siren test will be postponed until a later date.
