Elk River Machine achieves ISO mark

Enterprise Minnesota has honored Elk River Machine for achieving International Standard Organization (ISO) certification.

Enterprise Minnesota President and CEO Bob Kill said the accomplishment will help the company’s future growth potential. Kill spoke at an ISO recognition event Aug. 17 in Elk River, where he presented Jim Barthel, president of Elk River Machine, with a plaque in honor of the company’s achievement.

Enterprise Minnesota consultant Kent Myhrman provided the consulting services to Elk River Machine during the 10-month ISO certification process to help them incorporate these internationally recognized business standards into their manufacturing processes. The certification is helping Elk River Machine put an overall quality management system in place, Kill said.

Elk River Machine, a division of Cretex, is a custom metal parts and assemblies manufacturer for many markets. Its concrete equipment division offers made-to-order concrete processing, transport and installation equipment.
