Police report: Officers look for FBI impersonators
Elk River police officers were called to assist the Ramsey Police Department at an address just across the Elk River/Ramsey border at 10:19 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, after it was reported that there were two males impersonating FBI agents in the area.
Elk River Police Capt. Bob Kluntz said the two males were dressed in suits, had short hair and had shown one person a badge. They were last seen on foot. Officers checked the area but the two men were not located.
Shoplifter accused twice in same day
A 17-year-old boy is accused of shoplifting items from two Elk River stores on the same day.
In the first incident around 1 p.m. Aug. 21, the boy was cited for shoplifting at Cub Foods and released to his mother.
Eight hours later, at about 9 p.m., he allegedly shoplifted items from Walmart. He was cited again and released to his father.
Fishing gear taken in garage burglary
A forced-entry burglary was reported at a garage in the 500 block of Tipton Avenue in Elk River on Aug. 21. Missing are a Marcum fish finder, two fishing poles and a tackle box. Police do not have any suspects at this time, Kluntz said.
