New boutique shop opens in downtown Elk River
Ella’s will sell time-worn treasures and restyled furniture
Ella’s, a locally owned shop featuring antiques, vintage, collectables, and Shabby Chic and used items, opened today (Tuesday, Aug. 21) in downtown Elk River. The new boutique is located at 825 Main St., just a block west of the River’s Edge Commons Park at the intersection of Main and Jackson streets.
Patsy Gilgenbach, proprietor, says shoppers will find down-to-earth, comfortable and practical furnishings that not only appeal to their sense of style, but their sensibility.
“You don’t need to spend a fortune to create a contented home; Ella’s offers a collection of tables, chairs, armoires, and a mixture of old and new deocorative items that are beautiful, functional, comfortable, and most of all, economically friendly,” she said.
Gilgenbach says the concept of remaking and revitalizing beautiful, pre-owned items is also the basis of the store name, “My grandmother, Ella, had a knack for making her guests feel incredibly welcome, and she did it on a shoestring budget,” Gilgenbach said.
Ella’s is an occasional store open every second and fourth week monthly Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. For more information, visit Ella’s blog at www.shopatellas.blogspot.com/.
