Nicky Reuterfeldt has been walking gingerly due to a puppy-walking mishap a couple weeks ago, but managed to repeat as Fox Hollow women’s club champion last weekend.
Reuterfeldt shot 76-74-150, three strokes better than last year, and was seven strokes in front.
“I was just steady and made my putts,” said Reuterfeldt, of Hopkins. ” I’ve been out a couple weeks because I sprained a hamstring — walking my puppy up an incline! I had to drop out of a tournament I was in that weekend, and the Bunker Hills club tournament last week.”
Ann Peiler was runner-up after winning a playoff against Krista Larsen, who is Reuterfeldt’s daughter. Larsen was runner-up to her mom last year, and won the two years before that. Peiler shot 78-79-157 and Larsen 77-80-157.
The men’s club tournament will be held Friday and Saturday.
