Tootsie’s was 13-10-1 after the regular season and seeded eighth among 18 teams but went 5-0 in the playoffs. Manager James Sanford said the mediocre regular season was mainly a matter of not having full teams much of the time until playoffs.

The championship lineup included pitcher Ron Brown, catcher James Sanford, first baseman Jeremy Hawthorne, second baseman Adam Magorski, third baseman Justin Sprague, shortstop Aaron Bring, middle infielder Adam Miller, and outfielders Matt, Micah and Mason Loegering from left to right. Also on the squad were Scott Sanford and Dave Burkholder.

Tootsie’s Orange was playoff runner-up last year behind Thompson Construction. This year, Thompson was the regular-season champion with a 20-4 record, followed ┬áby Sunshine Depot with 19-4-1 and Tootsie’s Heroes with 16-8.
